support a commission: Matched Funding

Commissioning and promoting new Australian music

$100 and above

CIMF is a national leader in presenting new Australian music, a commitment reinforced through annual commissions.  We have a proud history of commissioning new work.

All our commissions are funded by donors and our capacity to support the creation of new Australian music is directly influenced by the level of donor support.

Each year we commission at least one major new work from our Composer in Residence, as well as works from emerging composers.

Four of our wonderful existing donors wish to invite other Festival patrons to share the joy of commissioning a new work. They have pledged up to $10,000 for 2018 to match contributions from new donors.

You will join other commissioners in an exclusive talk with our 2018 Composer in Residence, Mary Finsterer.  For the 2018 festival we are commissioning Mary to produce a new work for a seven harp ensemble.

All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible (you will receive a tax invoice indicating the amount of the donation). All donations to our will be acknowledged in the Festival program and our website.  Or you can choose to remain anonymous.

There are several ways you can donate:
