Winner of numerous competitions and recipient of the both the Spivakov and Rostropovich Foundations, Gryaznov is carving out a brilliant career across Russia, US and Japan. He is the living embodiment of the grand Russian piano tradition, taking Bach’s keyboard works as its first point of reference and the master’s transcriptions as the second. He makes his Australian debut at this festival playing both Bach and a number of new Gryaznov transcriptions of famous Russian repertoire.
