From the Fall of Versailles to the End of the Romanovs

French revolutionary songs and music by Marie-Antoinette’s one-time lover J.L. Dussek form the first half of this concert, whereas the second half plunges us into the last vestiges of Tsarist Russia with Rachmaninov’s immortal Liturgy of St John Chrysostom.
